The LENOX 1820300 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for continuous cutting on metal-cutting band saws. Measuring 167 inches long and 1-1/4 inches wide with a 0.042-inch blade thickness, it fits standard shop and industrial band saw frames requiring this loop length. The blade runs a variable 3 to 4 TPI pitch with a ground, toothed cutting edge and a positive rake angle, which helps reduce vibration and improve chip evacuation across a wide range of metal types. The tooth material is high speed steel M42 grade, making it suitable for demanding ferrous and non-ferrous cutting applications. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical contractors as well as machine shops install this blade on stationary band saws.
This blade is suited for production and maintenance cutting in commercial shops and industrial facilities. Its variable pitch pattern reduces harmonic vibration during cuts through thick-section metals. The material application range covers alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, aluminum, other non-ferrous metals, and titanium. It is not designed for contour cutting. A single level tooth set and spring steel back contribute to consistent tracking and blade stability under load. Machinists, millwrights, and fabricators working with a variety of metal stock will find this blade appropriate for straight, structural cuts.
Designed as a direct-fit welded loop replacement for metal-cutting band saws requiring a 167-inch blade loop, 1-1/4-inch blade width, and 0.042-inch blade thickness. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide clearance, and tension capacity on the host saw before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or fabricator familiar with band saw blade tensioning and tracking procedures. Power down and lock out the band saw at the disconnect before opening the blade guard or handling the blade loop. Wear cut-resistant gloves when uncoiling or handling the blade. Follow the saw manufacturer's tensioning specifications and confirm blade tracking is centered on the wheels before resuming operation.
