The LENOX 1819017 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in fabrication shops, machine shops, and industrial maintenance environments. The blade measures 19 feet 6 inches in length and 1 inch in width, with a 0.035-inch body thickness and a kerf width of 0.055 inches. It runs a variable 5 to 8 TPI pitch with a Vari-Raker tooth set, which reduces vibration and harmonics during cuts, extending blade life and improving surface finish. The M42 high-speed steel tooth tips are electron-beam welded to a spring steel back, giving the blade the flexibility to resist fatigue through continuous cycling on horizontal and vertical band saws. This blade is installed by machinists, maintenance technicians, and metal fabricators.
The 1819017 is suited for straight and contour-free cuts across a broad range of metals in production and job-site environments. The variable pitch and positive rake angle make it effective on alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The Classic Pro series targets medium to heavy structural sections, solid bar stock, and bundled material where a consistent, efficient cut is required. It is not rated for contour cutting applications.
Designed as an OEM-style welded replacement blade for horizontal and vertical band saws accepting a 19-foot 6-inch blade length with a 1-inch blade width. Material applications include alloy steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metal, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, mold steel, and bearing steel.
Band saw blade installation and tensioning should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician with the saw fully de-energized and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify that the blade length and width match the saw manufacturer's specifications before mounting. Use appropriate blade guides and set tension according to the saw manufacturer's recommended range for the blade width. Handle the coiled blade with cut-resistant gloves, as the teeth and spring steel back present a laceration hazard during uncoiling and mounting.
