The LENOX 1793101 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications on stationary band saw equipment. It measures 15 feet 8 inches in length and 1-1/4 inches in width, with a blade thickness of 0.042 inches and a kerf width of 0.067 inches. The tooth body is constructed from M42 high speed steel bonded to a spring steel back, which provides the toughness needed to resist blade fatigue and tooth strippage during long production cuts. The variable-pitch, Vari-Raker tooth geometry reduces vibration and chatter, resulting in cleaner cut surfaces and extended blade life. This blade is part of the LENOX Classic Pro series and is intended for installation and use by professional machinists, fabricators, and maintenance trades.
This blade is suited for production and job-shop cutting of a wide range of metals including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The variable 4 to 6 TPI pitch range makes it appropriate for cutting solid stock, tubing, and structural shapes where a fixed-pitch blade would generate excessive vibration or harmonic noise. It is not configured for contour cutting and is intended for straight cuts on vertical or horizontal band saw machines sized to accept a 15-foot 8-inch blade.
Designed as a direct-fit welded bandsaw blade for stationary band saw machines that accept a 15-foot 8-inch blade loop with a 1-1/4-inch blade width. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide clearance, and tensioning capacity on the host machine before installation.
Band saw blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician following the machine manufacturer's guidelines and applicable OSHA machine-guarding requirements. Power down and lock out the band saw before removing the old blade or threading the new one through the guides and blade guards. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the blade — the coiled loop can spring open unexpectedly. Set blade tension and tracking per the machine manufacturer's specification and confirm blade guide alignment before running the first cut.
