The LENOX 1793042 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade designed for metal-cutting bandsaws in production and job-shop environments. It measures 186 inches long and 1-1/4 inches wide with a 0.042-inch blade thickness and a variable pitch of 2 to 3 TPI. The tooth material is M42 high speed steel with a positive rake angle and a Vari-Raker tooth set, which helps reduce vibration and heat buildup during cuts. The spring steel back provides flexibility and fatigue resistance during continuous operation. Licensed saw technicians, metalworking fabricators, and maintenance trades install and replace these blades.
This blade is suited for horizontal and vertical metal-cutting bandsaw applications in both shop and light industrial settings. The variable pitch pattern makes it effective on a wide range of cross-sections, including solid bar, structural shapes, and tubing. Material compatibility includes alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, structural steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. It is not rated for contour cutting applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or aftermarket welded bandsaw blade for metal-cutting bandsaws that accept a 186-inch by 1-1/4-inch blade with a 0.042-inch blade thickness.
Blade installation and tensioning should be performed by a qualified operator following the bandsaw manufacturer's guidelines. Disconnect and lock out power to the bandsaw before removing the worn blade or installing a new one. Use proper blade guides and confirm wheel tracking before resuming cuts. Handling bi-metal blades requires cut-resistant gloves due to sharp tooth edges along the full blade length.
