The LENOX 1793009 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade built for continuous cutting of metals and structural materials in industrial and commercial shop environments. Measuring 17 feet 5 inches in length and 1-1/2 inches wide with a 0.05-inch blade thickness, it runs on large-frame vertical or horizontal band saws. The M42 high-speed steel tooth material delivers heat and wear resistance on demanding cuts. A variable 4 to 6 TPI pitch pattern reduces vibration and harmonic chatter, which extends blade life and improves surface finish on a wide range of stock profiles.
This blade is suited for production cutting and maintenance shop work where a single blade must handle multiple material types. Rated applications include alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, structural steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The Classic Pro series targets shops that run medium-to-large band saws and need consistent performance across varying cross-sections and material hardnesses. It is typically installed by machinists, millwrights, and metal fabricators.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or upgrade blade for large-frame band saws accepting a 17-foot 5-inch loop length and a 1-1/2-inch blade width.
Band saw blade installation and tensioning should be performed by a qualified machinist or millwright with the machine fully de-energized and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide spacing, and tension rating of the saw frame before mounting. Blade tracking and tension must be set according to the saw manufacturer specifications before powering on. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled blade to prevent lacerations.
