Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by qualified personnel with the machine fully de-energized and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify wheel diameter, blade guides, and blade tension settings match the blade width and thickness before mounting. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled blades, as spring-back can cause injury. Allow the blade to run unloaded for a short break-in period before applying full feed pressure.
