The LENOX 1792742 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade designed for demanding metal cutting applications in professional shop and industrial environments. At 13 feet 11 inches long and 1 inch wide with a 0.035-inch thickness, this blade installs on compatible horizontal and vertical bandsaws to deliver consistent, precise cuts through a wide range of metals. The variable pitch tooth form, rated at 5 to 8 TPI, reduces vibration and harmonic chatter during the cut. The M42 high-speed steel tooth material provides heat and wear resistance, extending blade life under high-cycle production conditions. Machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This blade is suited for cutting alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The Classic Pro series targets production and job-shop environments where blade longevity and cut quality matter. The Vari-Raker tooth set and positive rake angle promote aggressive chip clearance and reduce binding when working through thick cross-sections or structural profiles. It is not designed for contour cutting applications.
Designed for use on bandsaws accepting a blade measuring 13 feet 11 inches in length, 1 inch in width, and 0.035 inches in thickness. Suitable for cutting alloy steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metal, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, mold steel, and bearing steel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or fabricator familiar with bandsaw blade tensioning and tracking procedures. Power down and lock out the bandsaw completely before removing the old blade or installing a new one. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled blade, as edges are sharp. Verify blade tension and tracking alignment before resuming operation, following the saw manufacturer's specifications.
