The LENOX 1772416 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade built for continuous cutting of a wide range of metals. At 25 feet long and 2 inches wide with a 0.063-inch thickness, this blade is sized for large industrial bandsaws used in production and fabrication environments. The variable pitch tooth form runs at 1.5 to 2 TPI, reducing harmonic vibration and providing a smoother cut across varying material cross-sections. The M42+ high speed steel tooth material delivers elevated heat and wear resistance during demanding cuts through tough alloys and exotic metals.
This blade is suited for metal-cutting bandsaws in industrial fabrication shops, tool and die operations, and maintenance facilities. The QXP series designation indicates a high-performance blade intended for cutting alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, titanium, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The single level tooth set and positive rake angle are optimized for production-rate cutting where blade life and cut quality both matter. Licensed millwrights, machinists, and fabricators working with horizontal or vertical metal-cutting bandsaws are the typical end users.
Designed for industrial metal-cutting bandsaws that accept a 25-foot, 2-inch-wide welded blade. Compatible material applications include alloy steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, and titanium.
Blade installation and tensioning should be performed by a qualified machinist or millwright with the bandsaw fully de-energized and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify that the blade guides, wheel diameter, and tension capacity of the saw are rated for a 2-inch-wide blade before mounting. Allow the blade to run-in at reduced feed pressure for the first few cuts to seat the tooth set. Do not force the blade into a cut or exceed the saw manufacturer's rated capacity for the material being processed.
