The LENOX 1772385 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in professional fabrication and machine shop environments. Measuring 21 feet in length and 2 inches wide with a 0.063-inch thickness, this blade is built on a spring steel back with M42+ high speed steel teeth. The variable pitch tooth form runs at 3 to 4 TPI, reducing vibration and harmonic noise during cuts. A positive rake angle and ground tooth geometry combine to deliver clean, consistent cuts across a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Licensed metalworking trades and machine operators are the primary installers and users of this blade.
This blade is suited for vertical and horizontal band saws used in metal fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and manufacturing environments. The variable pitch QXP series design is intended for cutting structural shapes, solid bar stock, and tubing in materials including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, titanium, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals. The single level tooth set and 0.095-inch kerf width support straight, accurate cuts with minimal material loss. It is not designed for contour cutting applications.
Designed for use on band saws that accept a 21-foot, 2-inch-wide welded blade. Suitable for cutting alloy steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, and titanium.
Blade installation and tensioning should be performed by a qualified machine operator or metalworking tradesperson familiar with band saw equipment. Power down and lock out the saw before changing blades, following OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify blade tension and tracking per the saw manufacturer specifications before resuming operation. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or uncoiled bandsaw blades to prevent injury.
