The LENOX 1772376 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade built for demanding metal-cutting applications in fabrication shops and on-site service work. At 17 feet 8 inches in length and 1-1/2 inches wide, it fits large vertical and horizontal bandsaws used to cut structural steel, pipe, tubing, and bar stock. The blade runs a variable 2 to 3 TPI pitch with a raker tooth set and positive rake angle, which helps break up harmonics, reduce vibration, and improve chip evacuation during cuts. The tooth tips are M42 high-speed steel bonded to a flexible alloy steel backer, giving the blade both edge retention and resistance to breakage under load. Blade thickness is 0.05 inches. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical contractors performing pipe or structural work will find this blade a standard production tool.
This blade is suited for production and maintenance cutting environments where a range of material cross-sections must be cut efficiently. The variable pitch helps when transitioning between thin-wall tubing and solid stock without changing blades. It is appropriate for use on floor-standing or coolant-fed bandsaw machines that accept a 17-foot 8-inch loop. The positive rake angle and raker set make it particularly effective on mild steel, stainless, and alloy materials common in mechanical contracting and fabrication work.
Designed for use on bandsaw machines that accept a blade length of 17 feet 8 inches and a blade width of 1-1/2 inches. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide spacing, and tensioning capacity on the host saw before installation.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by qualified shop personnel or a licensed tradesperson familiar with the host machine. Disconnect and lock out the saw from its power source before removing the worn blade or installing a new one. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or uncoiled blade stock. After installation, set blade tension and tracking according to the saw manufacturer specifications before initiating a cut, and allow a brief break-in period at reduced feed pressure to seat the tooth geometry.
