The LENOX 1772375 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in professional shop and industrial environments. The blade measures 17 feet 6 inches in length and 1-1/4 inches in width, with a 0.042-inch body thickness and a kerf width of 0.070 inches. It runs at a variable pitch of 2 to 3 TPI, which helps reduce vibration and harmonic noise while improving chip evacuation across a wide range of material thicknesses. The tooth material is M42+ high speed steel, ground to a positive rake angle with a single level set. This blade is sized and specified for use by machinists, fabricators, and metal trades professionals operating horizontal or vertical band saws.
The 1772375 belongs to the LENOX QXP series, a line designed for high-performance structural and solid metal cutting. The variable pitch tooth form and positive rake angle make it suitable for cutting a broad range of materials including carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, aluminum, other non-ferrous metals, and titanium. The blade is well suited to production cutting environments where material type changes frequently or where consistent finish quality across different cross-sections is required. It is not configured for contour cutting.
Designed for band saws that accept a 17-foot 6-inch blade loop with a 1-1/4-inch blade width. Verify your saw's wheel diameter and blade guide clearance before installation to confirm fitment.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or trades professional with the saw fully de-energized and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Blade tension should be set according to the saw manufacturer's specifications for the blade width being used. Blade guides and thrust bearings must be properly adjusted after installation before the saw is returned to service. Always wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or uncoiled bandsaw blades.
