The LENOX 1772361 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade built for demanding metal-cutting applications in industrial and trade shop environments. The blade measures 15 feet in length, 1 inch wide, and 0.035 inches thick, with a variable pitch tooth pattern rated at 3 to 4 TPI. The M42+ high speed steel teeth are ground to a positive rake angle and set at a single level, delivering consistent chip evacuation and reduced vibration on interrupted cuts. A spring steel back provides the flexibility and fatigue resistance needed for continuous bandsawing. This blade is part of the QXP series and is installed by machinists, metal fabricators, and tool room technicians.
This blade is designed for contour-free straight cutting on horizontal and vertical band saws in production and maintenance shops. It handles a broad range of metals including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and titanium. The variable pitch tooth form reduces harmonic vibration when transitioning between varying cross-sections, making it well suited for solid bar stock, structural shapes, and tubing in both job shop and repetitive production settings.
Designed as a welded loop replacement blade for horizontal and vertical band saws accepting a 15-foot by 1-inch blade. Suitable for cutting alloy steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metal, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, and titanium.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with band saw blade tensioning and tracking procedures. Power down and lock out the saw before removing the old blade or mounting the new one. Verify wheel spacing, blade guides, and thrust bearings are properly set to the blade width before powering on. Follow the saw manufacturer's recommended break-in procedure for new bi-metal blades to seat the tooth set and maximize blade life.
