The LENOX 1772360 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in industrial and shop environments. The blade measures 14 feet 11 inches in length, 1 inch wide, and 0.035 inches thick, with a variable pitch of 4 to 6 TPI. The QXP series construction combines an M42+ high-speed steel tooth edge with a spring steel back, delivering heat resistance and fatigue durability through extended cutting cycles. A Vari-Raker tooth set with positive rake angle reduces cutting forces and promotes efficient chip evacuation. This blade is installed by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians on vertical or horizontal band saws.
The 1772360 is suited for production and maintenance cutting on a wide range of metals including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and titanium. The variable pitch tooth form minimizes vibration and harmonics during cutting, making it effective on both thin-walled and solid workpieces. It is appropriate for straight contour-free cuts in metal fabrication shops, tool rooms, and MRO environments where stock is varied and blade changes need to be infrequent.
Designed as a replacement or stock bandsaw blade for band saws accepting a 14 foot 11 inch blade length with a 1 inch blade width. Confirm wheel diameter and blade guide specifications on the host machine before installation.
Blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician with the band saw fully powered down and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify blade tension, tracking alignment, and guide bearing clearance before resuming cuts. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled blade during installation. Do not exceed the blade speed rating of the host machine for the material being cut.
