The LENOX 1771153 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in professional shop and fabrication environments. At 14 feet 6 inches long and 1-1/4 inches wide, this blade is sized for industrial vertical and horizontal band saws. The variable-pitch tooth form ranges from 5 to 8 TPI, reducing vibration and harmonics during cuts through varying cross-sections. The M42+ high speed steel tooth material delivers heat and wear resistance in high-feed-rate cutting. Licensed metal fabricators, tool-and-die shops, and maintenance machinists are the primary installers and users of this blade.
This blade is suited for cutting a wide range of metals including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, titanium, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The variable Vari-Raker tooth set and positive rake angle improve chip evacuation and reduce blade deflection, making this blade appropriate for both solid bar stock and structural shapes. It is part of the LENOX QXP series, which targets high-production metal-cutting operations where blade life and cut quality are critical factors.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement welded bandsaw blade for industrial band saws accepting a 14-foot 6-inch blade length and 1-1/4-inch blade width. Confirm wheel diameter, blade guide clearance, and tension specifications on the host saw before installation.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with the host machine. Power down and lock out the saw at the main disconnect before removing the existing blade or fitting the new one. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled blade — the teeth present a laceration hazard during uncoiling and threading. Set blade tension and tracking per the band saw manufacturer specifications before running the blade under load.
