The LENOX 1766220 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade built for industrial and metalworking cutting applications. Measuring 15 feet 6 inches long, 1 inch wide, and 0.035 inches thick, this blade fits standard horizontal and vertical bandsaws used in metal fabrication shops and maintenance environments. The variable-pitch tooth form runs at 5 to 8 TPI, reducing vibration and improving cut quality across a wide range of material thicknesses. The M42+ high-speed steel tooth tips are bonded to a spring steel back, giving the blade the flexibility to resist fatigue while maintaining edge hardness through extended cutting cycles. Licensed HVAC techs, millwrights, pipefitters, and metal fabricators are the primary installers.
This blade is designed for cutting a broad range of metals including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and titanium. The Vari-Raker tooth set and positive rake angle make it suitable for both solid bar stock and structural profiles. It is part of the LENOX QXP series, which targets production cutting environments where blade life and cut consistency are priorities. It is not intended for contour cutting applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit welded bandsaw blade for horizontal and vertical metal-cutting bandsaws requiring a 15 feet 6 inch blade length, 1 inch width, and 0.035 inch thickness.
Bandsaw blade replacement should be performed by a qualified operator following the saw manufacturer's lockout and tagout procedures before opening the blade guards. Blade tension and tracking must be set per the saw manufacturer's specifications after installation. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled blade, as the welded ends and tooth edges present laceration hazards. Verify wheel diameter and blade guide clearances before running the saw under load.
