The LENOX 1012D2C12127 is a bi-metal band saw blade coil stock designed for continuous-use cutting applications in metal fabrication, mechanical contracting, and industrial service environments. The coil supplies 100 feet of usable blade material at 1/2 inch width and 0.025 inch thickness, allowing shop personnel to cut custom blade lengths to fit a wide range of band saw frames. The blade body uses a flexible back construction to resist fatigue and cracking during extended use. High speed steel teeth are set in a raker pattern at a constant 14 teeth per inch pitch, making this coil well suited for consistent stock removal on solid and structural metal sections.
This coil stock is appropriate for residential and commercial trade shops where band saws are used to cut pipe, conduit, angle iron, bar stock, and similar ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The constant 14 TPI pitch delivers smooth, controlled cuts on medium-thickness sections. Contour cutting capability makes it usable on curved or irregular workpiece profiles as well as straight crosscuts. Designed as a coil-stock replacement blade for horizontal and vertical band saws accepting 1/2 inch wide bi-metal blades with a 0.025 inch blade thickness. Cut to length and weld or braze to the required loop dimension for the target saw.
Blade cutting and welding should be performed by a qualified technician using a blade welder appropriate for bi-metal stock. Disconnect and lock out the band saw from its power source before removing the old blade or installing a new loop. Verify blade tension and blade guide alignment after installation per the saw manufacturer specifications. Improper tension or misaligned guides will reduce blade life and cutting accuracy.
