The LEGRIS 3109 08 14 is a male elbow push-to-connect tube fitting designed for pneumatic and fluid control plumbing systems. It accepts 5/16 inch OD tubing on the push-to-connect end and threads into a 1/4 inch NPT male port on the mating component. The body combines a nylon push-to-connect head with nickel-plated brass hardware, offering corrosion resistance and reliable grip retention at system pressures up to 290 psi. This fitting is sized for small-bore tubing runs common in compressed air, instrumentation, and light fluid-handling lines. Plumbers, pipefitters, and pneumatic system technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting suits residential and light commercial applications where a 90-degree directional change is needed between a push-to-connect tube and a threaded port. Common install scenarios include pneumatic control panels, air compressor accessory lines, HVAC damper actuator tubing, and instrument air supply manifolds. The male NPT thread seats directly into a female-threaded port on a valve body, solenoid, cylinder, or manifold. No ferrules or compression sleeves are required on the tube side.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for pneumatic and fluid control systems using 5/16 inch OD tubing and 1/4 inch NPT female-threaded ports.
Installation is performed by qualified plumbers, pipefitters, or pneumatic system technicians. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing any existing fittings or inserting this fitting into a live line. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT male threads per IPC and facility maintenance standards before threading into the female port. Insert tubing straight into the push-to-connect end until it bottoms out against the internal stop to ensure full collet engagement; to release, depress the collet ring evenly while pulling the tube straight out.
