The LEGRIS 0674 00 10 is a pneumatic exhaust muffler designed to reduce noise at air discharge points in compressed-air systems. Threaded with a 1/8 inch BSPP connection, it handles up to 63 CFM of airflow while limiting exhaust noise to 80 dB. The body is constructed from polyethylene, keeping the unit lightweight and resistant to moisture and mild chemical exposure. Overall length is approximately 1.34 inches (34 mm) with a diameter of approximately 0.49 inches (12.5 mm). Licensed pneumatic technicians and industrial maintenance professionals install this type of muffler at valve exhausts, cylinder ports, and directional control valve banks.
This muffler is suited for use on pneumatic control valves, solenoid valves, and directional control valves in both light industrial and commercial automation applications. The 1/8 inch BSPP thread is a standard metric port size commonly found on European-origin pneumatic components and ISO-standard valve bodies. It is rated for operating temperatures from -14 degrees F to 175 degrees F, making it appropriate for indoor compressed-air systems operating in normal to moderately demanding thermal environments.
Designed for use with pneumatic valves and cylinders equipped with 1/8 inch BSPP threaded exhaust ports, consistent with ISO and European-standard pneumatic components.
Depressurize and lock out the compressed-air supply before removing or installing any pneumatic exhaust fitting. Thread the muffler in by hand first to confirm proper engagement, then snug with an appropriate wrench — do not overtighten polyethylene-bodied mufflers, as the material can crack under excessive torque. Verify that the port thread type is BSPP and not NPT before installation, as these thread forms are not interchangeable. Inspect the muffler element periodically for blockage from particulate or compressor oil carryover, which will restrict exhaust flow and cause back-pressure on the valve.
