The LEGRIS 0163 27 17 is a brass pipe bushing designed to reduce a 3/4-inch male BSPT thread down to a 3/8-inch female BSPP thread. This fitting is used to transition between pipe sections of different sizes within a pressurized fluid or air system. Built from brass, it delivers corrosion resistance and reliable sealing across a wide range of industrial plumbing and pneumatic applications. With a pressure rating of 3626 psi, it is rated for demanding service conditions. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This bushing is suited for use in industrial piping systems where a 3/4-inch BSPT male connection must mate to a 3/8-inch BSPP female port. It is commonly found in hydraulic lines, compressed air distribution, and fluid transfer systems that use British Standard thread forms. The MBSPT x FBSPP connection type makes it appropriate for equipment and panel connections that use BSP-standard ports, which are prevalent in European and internationally manufactured machinery and systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or installation fitting for industrial piping systems requiring a 3/4-inch MBSPT to 3/8-inch FBSPP threaded reduction.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male BSP threads per the system manufacturer and applicable codes. Do not overtighten brass fittings, as this can cause thread damage or cracking.
