The LEGRIS 0121 13 10 is a straight brass hex plug designed to seal off pipe ports and dead-end threaded connections in industrial fluid and pneumatic systems. It uses a 1/4 inch to 1/8 inch male BSPT thread configuration, making it suitable for reducing or capping threaded ports where flow needs to be blocked. Rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure and tested to a pressure rating of 1450 psi, it handles demanding service conditions. The brass construction resists corrosion and is compatible with a wide range of media. Operating temperature range spans from -40 degrees F to 302 degrees F, covering most industrial and mechanical service environments. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians are the typical installers.
This hex plug is suited for use in compressed air lines, hydraulic circuits, water supply systems, and general industrial piping where an open port must be sealed. The MBSPT connection type is standard in metric and international piping systems, making this fitting common in OEM equipment, industrial machinery, and fluid handling assemblies. Its compact straight profile allows installation in tight spaces where larger fittings would not fit. The sold-as-single packaging makes it practical for service calls and repair work requiring a single replacement fitting.
Designed as a standard MBSPT hex plug for industrial piping, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems that use male British Standard Pipe Taper threaded connections.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified industrial maintenance technician. Always depressurize and isolate the line before removing or installing any pipe fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads per the system manufacturer and applicable plumbing code requirements. Do not overtighten brass fittings, as the material is subject to cracking under excessive torque.
