The LEGRAND WR5362-I is a heavy-duty, weather-resistant duplex receptacle rated for 20 amps at 125 volts AC in a 5-20R configuration. Built to specification grade, it features a PVC back body and a UV-resistant nylon face, making it suitable for damp and wet location installations where exposure to moisture and environmental stress is a concern. The receptacle uses 0.032-inch-thick brass triple-wipe power contacts for lasting retention and includes tri-drive brass terminal screws with an internal screw pressure plate for secure, reliable terminations. Licensed electricians install this device as part of branch-circuit rough-in and finish work in both new construction and retrofit applications.
This receptacle is designed for use in residential and commercial installations where NEMA WD-1/WD-6 compliance and weather-resistant performance are required by code. Typical install scenarios include exterior outlets, utility rooms, garages, crawl spaces, and any location subject to moisture ingress. The 5-20R configuration accommodates standard 20-amp branch circuits. Both back-wire and side-wire terminations are supported, and a break-off line-contact connecting tab allows for fast split-circuit wiring when needed.
Designed as an OEM-style specification-grade replacement or new-installation weather-resistant duplex receptacle for 20-amp, 125-volt, 2-pole, 3-wire branch circuits conforming to NEMA WD-1/WD-6 standards.
Installation must be performed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the branch circuit at the panel and verify absence of voltage before beginning any wiring work. In wet locations, use with a listed in-use weatherproof cover to maintain the required protection rating. Do not exceed the 20-amp current rating or the rated operating temperature range of -40 to 60 degrees C.
