The LEGRAND PS20AC1-WSL is a single-pole illuminated toggle switch rated for 20 amps at 120/277 VAC, built for industrial electrical applications. The toggle body is thermoplastic polycarbonate, the back body is glass-reinforced nylon, and the strap is nickel-plated steel. Oversized silver alloy contacts support long service life and improved heat dissipation. A cam-controlled mechanism provides fast make and positive break action to minimize arcing. The shallow profile eases installation in standard wall boxes. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this device.
This switch is suited for single-pole lighting and motor-load control in industrial and commercial environments where a 20-amp, 120/277-volt rated device is required. The illuminated toggle provides a visible indicator at the switch location. It accepts 14 to 10 AWG copper or copper-clad conductors and supports both back-wired and side-wired termination methods, giving installers flexibility in tight box conditions. The white finish coordinates with standard industrial wiring devices. No wall plate is included with this unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation single-pole illuminated toggle switch for industrial and commercial branch circuit applications rated at 20 amps and 120/277 VAC, conforming to NEMA WD-1/WD-6 standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the branch circuit at the panel and verify absence of voltage with a meter before beginning termination work. Both back-wire and side-wire termination options are available; use the external screw pressure plate terminals for a secure connection. Confirm the grounding terminal is connected to the equipment ground conductor to complete the auto-ground circuit.
