The LEGRAND PS15AC1-RPL is a 1-pole pilot light toggle switch rated for 15 amperes at 120 volts AC, designed for specification-grade electrical installations. The switch features a red thermoplastic polycarbonate toggle with a glass reinforced nylon body and nylon cover. It is back and side wired, accepting 14 to 10 AWG copper or copper-clad conductors. The integral auto ground clip and nickel-plated steel strap provide a reliable ground connection without additional hardware. Licensed electricians install this switch in commercial and industrial environments where pilot-light indication and specification-grade performance are required.
This switch is suited for specification-grade branch circuit applications in commercial, institutional, and light industrial settings. The shallow body depth of 1.073 inches makes it compatible with standard single-gang boxes where space is at a premium. The red pilot light toggle provides at-a-glance indication of circuit status, a common requirement in panel rooms, mechanical spaces, and corridor lighting control circuits. Wall plate is not included and must be ordered separately.
Designed as a specification-grade OEM-style single-pole pilot light toggle switch for use in standard single-gang wiring device installations wired to 120 VAC branch circuits. Wall plate is not included.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit at the panel and verify absence of voltage with a meter before beginning work. Back and side wiring terminals both accept 14 to 10 AWG conductors; do not exceed the listed conductor size range. Confirm the grounding terminal is properly bonded to the equipment ground conductor per NEC requirements before restoring power.
