The LEGRAND PDV-2B is a 2-gang low voltage mounting bracket designed for face-mount installation in residential and commercial structured wiring applications. Constructed from durable plastic, this bracket provides a clean, stable mounting surface for low voltage devices such as data, coax, and A/V termination plates. The face-mount design positions the bracket flush against the wall surface without requiring a standard electrical box, simplifying rough-in and finish work on low voltage runs. UL listed for compliance with applicable safety standards, the PDV-2B is a straightforward solution for low voltage rough-in work handled by electricians and low voltage installers.
This bracket is suited for new construction and retrofit installations where low voltage cabling — including CAT-rated data cable, coaxial, speaker wire, and similar signal conductors — terminates at a wall location. The 2-gang configuration accommodates dual-port or multi-device faceplates. It is sold individually and also available in standard carton quantities of 12 units, making it practical for tract housing, multi-unit residential, and light commercial projects where volume installations are common.
Designed as an OEM-style low voltage mounting bracket compatible with standard 2-gang low voltage wallplates and inserts used in structured wiring and A/V rough-in applications.
Low voltage mounting brackets are typically installed by electricians or low voltage technicians during the rough-in phase before drywall finishing. No electrical box is required for face-mount installation — the bracket fastens directly to a stud or drywall opening per local building codes. Ensure all low voltage cabling is de-energized and any connected signal sources are powered down before terminating devices at the bracket. Installation should comply with applicable NEC low voltage wiring requirements for the cable types being terminated.
