The LEGEND VALVE 500-34-20b is a bi-modal polyethylene raised-temperature (PE-RT) tube designed for hot and cold potable water distribution. Rated for pressures between 100 and 200 psi and temperatures from 73 to 180 degrees F, this 3/4-inch nominal CTS tube is flexible enough to lay flat during installation and rigid enough to maintain system integrity under sustained thermal load. Unlike cross-linked polyethylene (PEX), PE-RT can be thermally fused to produce a continuous, joint-free run. The blue color coding identifies cold-side or general-purpose runs at a glance. Plumbers working on residential and light commercial systems will find this tube straightforward to handle and cut with standard tooling.
This tube is suited for residential and light commercial potable water systems installed in traditional trunk-and-branch layouts, home-run manifold systems, and hybrid configurations. Its compatibility with most CTS compression, push-fit, and crimp fitting systems means it integrates into existing rough-in workflows without dedicated proprietary tooling. The ability to fuse tube sections eliminates mechanical joints in long runs, reducing potential leak points. Each stick is 20 feet in length, making it practical for both new construction and remodel work where straight runs are preferred over coiled tubing.
Designed for use with standard CTS fitting systems including compression, push-fit, and crimp-style fittings. Compatible with traditional, home-run, and hybrid potable water piping configurations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable local plumbing code and IPC requirements for plastic potable water piping. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system fully before cutting into any existing line. Use a clean, square tube cut to ensure proper fitting engagement and a leak-free connection. When thermal fusion is used to join tube sections, follow the equipment manufacturer's temperature and dwell-time procedures — do not improvise fusion parameters.
