The LEGEND VALVE 303-128 is a brass compression pipe coupling designed to join 1-1/2-inch pipe sections in pressurized plumbing systems. It carries a 125 psi working pressure rating (WOG) and a maximum working temperature of 180 degrees F, making it suitable for cold and hot water distribution lines in both residential and light commercial applications. The compression fitting design allows for a secure, leak-resistant connection without soldering, reducing torch work and open-flame hazards on the job. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting.
This coupling is used in water supply and distribution systems where a reliable, pressure-rated connection is needed on 1-1/2-inch pipe runs. Typical applications include potable water lines, general plumbing repairs, and retrofits where cutting into an existing line requires a coupling to restore continuity. The compression-style connection is well suited for copper, CPVC, and compatible tubing types in confined spaces or areas where soldering is impractical.
Designed as an OEM-style compression coupling for 1-1/2-inch pipe in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where a 125 psi WOG-rated brass fitting is required.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before cutting into any existing pipe. Ensure pipe ends are cut square and deburred before seating the compression nut and ferrule. Do not overtighten the compression nut; use hand pressure plus the manufacturer-recommended additional turns with a wrench to seat the ferrule without deforming it.
