The LEGEND VALVE 201-423 is a miniature manual ball valve designed for 1/2-inch pipe systems requiring a compact, full-port shutoff solution. Built with a Schedule 80 PVC body, this valve delivers full-bore flow with minimal pressure drop, making it well suited for chemical handling, irrigation, and water distribution lines where corrosion resistance is a priority. The EPDM seals and PTFE seat provide reliable shutoff under repeated cycling. A tee-style ABS handle allows quick quarter-turn operation. Licensed plumbers and pipe fitters typically install this valve in low-pressure systems where a lightweight, non-metallic valve is preferred.
This valve is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation, water treatment, and chemical distribution systems where PVC piping is the standard. Its FNPT x FNPT end connections thread directly into standard female-threaded Schedule 80 PVC fittings. The full-port design maintains full pipe bore, which is important in systems sensitive to flow restriction. It is also commonly used in pool and spa equipment plumbing, hydronic systems with compatible media, and laboratory piping where metal valves are unsuitable.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation valve for 1/2-inch Schedule 80 PVC piping systems with female NPT threaded connections.
This valve is installed by licensed plumbers or pipe fitters in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing or installing any threaded valve. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly and avoid over-torquing, which can crack PVC bodies. Confirm media and temperature compatibility with PVC and EPDM before installation in chemical service applications.
