The LEGEND VALVE 116-101 is a 2-inch non-rising stem gate valve designed for full-bore shutoff service in commercial and industrial piping systems. Built with a cast iron body and bolted bonnet, this valve is rated at pressure class 125 and features a solid wedge disc for reliable, low-leakage seating. Flanged end connections allow for easy inline installation and removal without cutting pipe. At 33 pounds, it is a robust, service-grade component suited for water, mild fluids, and general utility service. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers for this type of valve.
This gate valve is used in commercial plumbing, heating, and industrial utility systems where positive shutoff is required at 2-inch pipeline connections. The non-rising stem design makes it well suited for installations with limited vertical clearance above the valve, such as mechanical rooms, pipe chases, and tight equipment bays. Flanged connections conform to standard bolt-circle layouts common in commercial piping assemblies. This valve is not intended for throttling service and should be operated fully open or fully closed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation gate valve for 2-inch flanged piping assemblies in commercial and industrial plumbing and HVAC hydronic systems rated at pressure class 125.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and ASME B16.1 flange standards. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing or installing the valve. Verify flange bolt-circle alignment and use appropriate gaskets rated for the service fluid and pressure. Do not use this valve for throttling or flow regulation service, as partial operation will damage the disc and seat over time.
