The LEGEND VALVE 114-914nl is a push-to-connect stop valve designed for use in water supply and distribution systems. It features a 1/2-inch CTS (copper tube size) inlet and a 1/4-inch OD tube outlet, making it a compact shutoff solution for appliance and fixture supply connections. The push-stop design eliminates the need for soldering, compression fittings, or threaded connections at the point of install, allowing faster service in tight spaces. Licensed plumbers and experienced installers use this fitting when connecting small-diameter supply lines to refrigerators, icemakers, under-sink filters, or similar low-flow appliances.
This push stop valve is suited for residential plumbing applications where a 1/2-inch copper or CTS supply line needs to branch to a 1/4-inch OD tube outlet. Typical installations include kitchen and utility room water lines serving appliances that require a dedicated shutoff at the branch point. The no-lead (NL) construction makes it compliant with low-lead requirements for potable water systems under applicable plumbing codes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation push stop valve for residential plumbing systems with 1/2-inch CTS supply lines and 1/4-inch OD tube branch connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing any existing fitting or making new connections. Ensure the pipe end is cut cleanly and deburred before inserting into the push-connect fitting to achieve a proper seal. Do not exceed the rated working pressure for the fitting or use it in systems carrying fluids other than potable water unless verified by the manufacturer.
