The LEGEND VALVE 113-142 is a standard manual ball valve rated for 3/8 inch pipe with a full port design and FNPT x FNPT end connections. The body, trim, and handle are all 316 stainless steel, making this valve well suited for corrosive fluid service, potable water, and industrial process lines where brass or carbon steel would degrade. The full port bore minimizes pressure drop across the valve, preserving flow capacity in tight piping systems. A locking lever handle prevents accidental actuation in vibration-prone or high-traffic mechanical spaces. This valve is installed by licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors in both residential and light commercial applications.
This ball valve is a two-piece construction intended for inline shutoff service in 3/8 inch piping systems. The FNPT x FNPT connection pattern allows direct threaded installation into standard female NPT fittings without adapters. The 316 stainless steel material grade provides resistance to chlorides and mildly corrosive media, making it appropriate for hydronic heating loops, compressed air lines, chemical feed systems, and general utility plumbing where a durable quarter-turn shutoff is required. The reinforced PTFE seat ensures a positive seal across a wide temperature range and extended cycle life.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation shutoff valve for 3/8 inch FNPT piping systems in residential and commercial plumbing, hydronic, and mechanical applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off system pressure and depressurize the line completely before removing any existing valve or making threaded connections. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to male NPT threads before assembly, and tighten to the fitting manufacturer's specified engagement without over-torquing stainless threads. Confirm full shutoff function and inspect for leaks before returning the system to service.
