The LEGEND VALVE 113-102 is a standard two-piece manual ball valve designed for shut-off and flow control in plumbing and mechanical piping systems. Built from 316 stainless steel throughout the body and trim, it provides strong corrosion resistance in demanding service environments. The valve features a large-port design that minimizes pressure drop across the valve when fully open. A locking lever handle allows the operator to secure the valve position, preventing unintended actuation. Reinforced PTFE seats deliver a reliable, low-friction seal over repeated cycles. This valve is sized for 3/8 inch pipe with female NPT connections on both ends, making it a direct thread-in installation for most piping configurations encountered by licensed plumbers and pipefitters.
The 113-102 is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating systems, compressed air lines, and general fluid handling applications where a compact, corrosion-resistant isolation valve is required. The 316 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for mildly corrosive media and applications where brass or carbon steel valves may be unsuitable. The FNPT x FNPT end connections allow installation into standard NPT-threaded pipe or fittings without additional adapters. Plumbers and mechanical contractors typically specify this valve for branch isolation, equipment shut-off, and service valve applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ball valve for 3/8 inch NPT-threaded piping systems in plumbing, hydronic, and general mechanical applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the IPC. Isolate and depressurize the system and drain the line before removing or installing any valve. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads of the mating pipe before threading in the valve. Do not over-tighten threaded connections, as this can crack fittings or distort the valve body.
