The LEGEND VALVE 113-101 is a two-piece, standard manual ball valve designed for fluid control in plumbing and industrial piping systems. Built from 316 stainless steel throughout the body and trim, this valve delivers strong corrosion resistance in demanding service environments. The large-port design minimizes flow restriction, and the locking lever handle provides secure, tamper-resistant shutoff. The seat is reinforced PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), which handles a wide range of compatible media and supports reliable sealing over repeated cycles. A licensed plumber or pipefitter is the typical installer for valves of this type in both commercial and residential applications.
This valve is suited for in-line shutoff service on 1/4 inch pipe runs where full-bore or large-port flow capacity is required. The FNPT x FNPT end connections make it compatible with standard female-threaded pipe systems. The 316 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for mildly corrosive media, potable water, process fluids, and compressed-air lines where brass or carbon-steel fittings are not preferred. The locking lever is well-suited for installations where accidental operation must be prevented.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation valve for 1/4 inch female NPT threaded pipe systems in plumbing, process, and mechanical applications.
Installation of this valve is typically performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing an existing valve or making new connections. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before engagement; avoid over-tightening, which can crack PTFE seats or distort stainless fittings. Confirm the locking lever is secured in the desired position after pressure is restored and the system is leak-checked.
