The LEGEND VALVE 107-607 is a Schedule 80 PVC ball valve in a 1.5-inch socket-by-socket (SxS) end configuration. It is designed for full-bore, quarter-turn shutoff service in pressure piping systems where corrosion resistance and chemical compatibility are priorities. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides greater pressure capacity than Schedule 40 PVC, making this valve a common choice in industrial process, irrigation, chemical handling, and plumbing applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this valve where a lightweight, non-metallic shutoff is specified.
This valve fits 1.5-inch Schedule 80 PVC piping systems using solvent-weld socket connections. Typical installations include water treatment systems, pool and spa plumbing, chemical feed lines, and commercial irrigation networks. The PVC body resists a broad range of acids, bases, and salts, making it suitable for applications where metal valves would corrode. It is not rated for steam, high-temperature hot water, or compressed gas service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ball valve for 1.5-inch Schedule 80 PVC piping systems using solvent-weld socket connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM solvent-weld standards. Shut off system pressure and drain the line completely before removing an existing valve or making new solvent-weld joints. Use only PVC-rated solvent cement and primer appropriate for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before pressurizing the system. PVC ball valves are not suitable for use with compressed air, steam, or fluids exceeding the rated temperature of the valve body.
