The LEGEND VALVE 101-211 is a standard manual full port ball valve designed for 4-inch pipe with soldered x soldered end connections. The brass body and brass trim construction provide corrosion resistance suited to potable water, hydronic heating, and general plumbing distribution systems. A lever handle allows for quick quarter-turn shutoff, and the full port design minimizes flow restriction across the valve. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) seat delivers a reliable, low-friction seal across repeated cycles. At 12.5 pounds, this is a substantial valve appropriate for main-line service in commercial and residential plumbing installations.
This valve is installed on 4-inch copper pipe systems where a full flow, manually operated shutoff is required. Typical applications include main water service shutoffs, mechanical room distribution headers, hydronic system isolation, and other plumbing installations where a soldered joint is the preferred connection method. The lever handle makes open and closed positions immediately visible during system inspection or commissioning.
Designed for use on 4-inch copper pipe systems using soldered end connections, consistent with standard plumbing practices for residential and commercial main-line shutoff and isolation applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure completely before cutting into existing pipe. Use appropriate flux and solder rated for potable water service when making sweat connections, and allow fittings to cool before restoring pressure. Do not over-heat the valve body during soldering, as excessive heat can damage the PTFE seat.
