The LEGEND VALVE 101-062 is a two-way, full port manual ball valve designed for shutoff and flow control in a wide range of fluid and gas systems. Built with a brass body and a lever handle, this 2-piece valve provides a straight-through full port bore that minimizes pressure drop across the valve. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) seat and seal material resists wear and chemical degradation, making it suitable for potable water, grease, fuels, LP gas, and natural gas service. At 0.3 pounds, it is compact and easy to work into tight plumbing assemblies. Rated under UL, CSA, FM, and NSF standards, it meets the certification requirements for residential and light commercial installations.
This valve is used wherever a reliable manual shutoff is needed on 3/8 inch pipe lines. Typical applications include gas appliance supply lines, plumbing distribution branches, fuel feed lines, and potable water systems in both residential and light commercial settings. The FNPT x FNPT end connections allow straightforward threaded installation without adapters. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this valve during new construction, service calls, and system retrofits requiring an NSF-listed, gas-rated shutoff point.
Rated for use with potable water, grease, fuels, LP gas, and natural gas. Suitable for 3/8 inch threaded pipe connections in residential and light commercial plumbing and gas systems where UL, CSA, FM, or NSF certification is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and the IFGC or IPC as relevant to the service medium. Shut off the gas or water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing this valve. Apply thread sealant rated for the intended service medium to all FNPT connections. Do not overtighten threaded fittings, as brass threads can be damaged by excessive torque.
