The LASCO 9837-336 is a Schedule 80 CPVC reducer bushing designed to transition from a 3-inch spigot connection to a 1-1/4-inch slip connection in pressurized piping systems. Constructed from CPVC, this bushing is rated for continuous service up to 200 degrees F, making it suitable for hot water distribution, chemical process lines, and industrial fluid handling applications where elevated temperatures and corrosive media are common. The SCH 80 wall thickness provides additional pressure capability over standard Schedule 40 fittings. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers in both commercial and industrial environments.
This reducer bushing is appropriate for use in residential and commercial plumbing systems, chemical distribution lines, and industrial process piping where CPVC Schedule 80 components are specified. The spigot end inserts into a female socket fitting of the same schedule, while the slip end accepts standard CPVC Schedule 80 pipe. It is suited for installations requiring a significant size reduction within a compact fitting footprint.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for CPVC Schedule 80 piping systems requiring a 3-inch to 1-1/4-inch spigot-by-slip reducer bushing.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for CPVC solvent cementing. Depressurize and drain the line completely before cutting or removing any existing fittings. Use only CPVC-rated primer and solvent cement formulated for Schedule 80 fittings. Allow full cure time before restoring system pressure.
