The LARSEN SUPPLY CO., INC. 11-1002 is a high-density PTFE thread seal tape engineered for industrial-strength sealing on threaded pipe and fitting connections. At 0.75 inches wide and 1429 inches long, this bulk roll delivers significant coverage per unit, making it a practical choice for high-volume service work. The blue color distinguishes it from standard white thread tape, signaling its heavy-duty, all-purpose formulation. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors rely on this tape to create leak-free threaded joints across a wide range of pipe materials and service conditions. It conforms tightly to threads and resists compression, tearing, and chemical degradation during assembly.
This tape is suited for both residential and commercial plumbing, mechanical, and industrial piping applications. It performs on water supply lines, gas-rated fittings where PTFE tape is appropriate, compressed air systems, and general threaded connections throughout a facility. The all-purpose rating means a single roll can cover iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, CPVC, ABS, and fiberglass threaded components without the need to stock multiple specialty tapes.
Designed for all-purpose use on threaded connections in iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, CPVC, ABS, and fiberglass pipe and fittings across plumbing, mechanical, and industrial piping systems.
PTFE thread tape is applied by licensed plumbers and pipefitters as part of standard threaded joint assembly. Wrap the tape in the direction of the thread, typically two to three wraps minimum, pulling snugly so the tape seats into the thread profile. Ensure mating threads are clean and dry before application. Always verify that PTFE tape is the appropriate sealant for the specific fluid, pressure, and temperature service conditions of the joint before installation.
