The LA-CO 086481 Markal Thermomelt Temperature Indicator is a long-lasting stick designed for accurate surface temperature measurement. It is precise to within +/-1% Fahrenheit and +/-3% Celsius, eliminating the need for sensor calibration. This indicator is ideal for applications such as pre-heating, post-weld heat treating, interpass temperature monitoring, stress-relieving, and annealing on steel and iron. The 1/2 inch flat tip melts to a glossy liquid when the precise temperature of 175°F is reached.
