The L H DOTTIE CO GBL50 is a 0.5-inch insulated ground bushing designed to protect wire insulation and conductors at the point where conduit or cable enters an enclosure, panel, or junction box. The insulated throat prevents abrasion damage to wire jackets, making it a standard component in residential and commercial electrical rough-in work. Licensed electricians install this bushing at conduit terminations where a smooth, insulated entry point is required by code. It is sold individually as a single unit.
This insulated ground bushing is suited for use at conduit terminations in electrical panels, load centers, and enclosures. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit electrical work where 0.5-inch conduit entries require insulated protection. The part is commonly specified in installations that must meet NEC requirements for insulated bushings at conduit ends carrying conductors 4 AWG and larger, though its application range covers general conduit termination work across a wide variety of box and enclosure types.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit component for 0.5-inch conduit terminations on electrical enclosures, panels, and junction boxes.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician. De-energize and lock out the panel or enclosure before beginning any conduit termination work. The bushing is threaded or pressed onto the conduit end before conductors are pulled through. Refer to the NEC for specific requirements regarding insulated bushings at conduit entries based on conductor size and application.
