The L H Dottie Co EMTB125 is a 1-1/4 inch plastic bushing designed for use with electrical metallic tubing (EMT) conduit. It threads or snaps onto the end of a cut EMT conduit section to protect wire insulation from abrasion caused by sharp metal edges. Electricians install this fitting during conduit terminations at junction boxes, panels, and enclosures. The plastic construction resists corrosion and provides a smooth interior surface that prevents damage to conductor insulation during wire pulls.
This bushing is used in residential and light commercial electrical installations wherever 1-1/4 inch EMT conduit terminates at a box or enclosure. It is a standard hardware accessory found in conduit roughing-in work, panel feeds, and branch circuit runs. The unit-of-measure is each, sold individually, making it easy to order exact quantities for a job.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with standard 1-1/4 inch EMT conduit in residential and commercial electrical installations.
Licensed electricians install EMT bushings as part of conduit termination work in accordance with NEC requirements for protecting conductors at conduit ends. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before pulling wire through terminated conduit. The bushing should be seated fully onto the conduit end before conductors are pulled. No special tools are required for installation.
