The L H Dottie 1215D is a 2-inch nylon knockout bushing sold in a 25-pack, designed to protect wire and cable insulation from abrasion at conduit knockout openings in electrical enclosures, panels, and junction boxes. Made from nylon, this bushing snaps into standard 2-inch knockouts and provides a smooth, non-conductive edge that shields conductors from sharp metal edges during pull-through and throughout the life of the installation. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install these bushings as a standard step in panel and enclosure rough-in work.
These knockout bushings are commonly used in residential and commercial electrical installations wherever conductors enter metallic enclosures through standard knockout openings. Typical applications include load centers, sub-panels, junction boxes, pull boxes, and metallic enclosures where 2-inch conduit or cable entries are required. The 25-pack quantity suits service calls and new construction jobs where multiple enclosures are being wired in a single visit.
Designed as an OEM-style fit for standard 2-inch knockout openings in metallic electrical enclosures and boxes commonly found in residential and commercial installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the enclosure before beginning any work inside panels or boxes. The bushing snaps into the knockout opening by hand and should be fully seated against the enclosure wall before conductors are pulled through. Inspect the bushing for cracks or deformation before use, as a damaged bushing will not protect conductors properly.
