The KYOCERA TSJ03571 is a cermet turning insert designed for precision metal-cutting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to ANSI and ISO standards, this insert carries the VNMG160402GP ISO designation and the industry standard number VNMG3305GP TN60. It features a 35-degree diamond shape with a negative rake angle of -10 degrees and a honed cutting edge style. The TN60 cermet grade includes a TiCN and NbC coating classification and is engineered for high-surface-finish applications in steel and stainless steel cutting. Four usable cutting edges per insert make it a cost-efficient choice for production turning environments.
This insert is suited for external turning, facing, copying, and undercutting operations, primarily in steel and stainless steel workpieces. It fits into standard VNMG-style toolholders with clamp and pin holding methods. The neutral hand orientation makes it compatible with right-hand tooling setups on conventional and CNC lathes. Typical users include machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production facilities working with P-grade workpiece materials at finish to semi-finish material removal rates corresponding to grades P01, P10, and P20.

Installation of turning inserts should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine powered down and spindle locked before seating or replacing the insert.
