Product Description

The KYOCERA TLC16158 is a solid carbide cutoff insert designed for grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a Megacoat Nano PVD coating applied to a PR1535 grade carbide substrate, delivering wear resistance and edge stability under continuous and interrupted cutting conditions. The NB chipbreaker geometry controls chip flow during narrow grooving applications. The insert mounts via screw-holding method and carries a 20-degree right-hand lead angle with a 1mm cutting width, making it well-suited for tight-tolerance parting and recessing work performed by machinists and CNC operators in production environments.

This insert is intended for use in KTKF-series toolholders on CNC turning equipment. The 1mm cutting width and 6mm maximum depth of cut make it applicable to small-diameter parting, internal grooving, and recessing operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The right-hand insert orientation is standard for conventional OD turning setups.
