The KYOCERA TKB09473 is a solid carbide indexable drill insert designed for use in indexable drill bodies requiring the ZCMT insert style. Built to ANSI code ZCMT10T304 and ISO code ZCMT10T304, this insert features a diamond shape with a positive rake geometry and a 7-degree relief angle. The PVD coating over a micrograin carbide substrate gives it the wear resistance and toughness needed for interrupted cuts and demanding hole-making operations. Grade PR1225 is optimized for stainless steel and steel applications. With four cutting edges, technicians get extended tool life per insert before changeover is required.

This insert is suited for right-hand cutting in indexable drill bodies from the DRZ series. Primary application is in stainless steel (ISO material code M) with secondary use in steel (ISO material code P). Typical install scenarios include production drilling, maintenance drilling, and precision hole-making in machining environments. The insert measures 0.4724 inches in length, 0.4094 inches in width, and 0.1563 inches in thickness, with a 0.40 mm corner radius. The mounting hole diameter is 0.1732 inches (4.40 mm). Installation Notes
