The KYOCERA TCV01006 is a ceramic turning insert designed for high-speed, high-temperature metal removal in demanding machining operations. Built with an Al2O3 TiC Megacoat ceramic substrate and applied via PVD coating process, this insert delivers consistent performance on hard materials and cast iron. The CNGA-style insert features an 80-degree diamond shape, a neutral hand orientation, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, and a 0.03125-inch corner radius. With four cutting edges and compatibility with both clamp and pin holding methods, it provides efficient cutting economics for production turning environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in precision turning cells are the primary installers.
This insert is suited for external turning, boring, internal facing, facing, and chamfering operations. Its primary workpiece material designation is hard material (H code), with a secondary application in cast iron (K code), making it appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing passes on hardened steels and wear-resistant cast iron components. The insert conforms to ANSI and ISO standards and carries an ISO code of CNGA120408S02025 and an industry standard number of CNGA432S00825PT600M. It is a multi-use tool approved for use across several operation types in both horizontal and vertical CNC turning setups.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC technician following all machine tool lockout and spindle-stop procedures before indexing or replacing inserts. Verify clamp or pin hardware is torqued according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications, not the insert data alone. Confirm the insert is fully seated and the correct cutting edge is indexed before resuming operation.
