The KYOCERA TCS61240 is a ceramic turning insert designed for precision metal cutting operations on hard materials. Manufactured to the TPG321T00320 A66N specification, it features an aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and titanium carbide/titanium nitride (TiC/TiN) coating applied via PVD process. The triangular insert geometry provides three cutting edges, and the neutral hand orientation suits both left- and right-hand toolholders. With an inscribed circle of 0.375 inches and a corner radius of 0.0156 inches, this insert is engineered for controlled, accurate cuts in hard workpiece materials. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops and production facilities are the primary users.

This insert is suited for hard material turning applications including external turning, facing, boring, and chamfering.
