The KYOCERA OTM86171 is an indexable insert drill designed for high-productivity hole-making in metalworking applications. Built around a steel body with a whistle notch shank, this drill accepts two WCMX-style inserts and delivers a maximum drill depth of 2.63 inches at a 3xD depth-to-diameter ratio. The 7/8 inch cutting diameter and 1 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard DR-style drill bodies. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and tool life in demanding materials. The Holeshot series design targets repeatable, accurate hole geometry in production environments.
