The KST COATING KS0063600-16 is a premium white elastomeric roof coating designed to seal, protect, and extend the service life of low-slope and flat roofing systems. This 1-gallon formulation delivers higher solids content for better coverage per unit and forms a thick, rubber-like membrane that expands and contracts with the roof substrate across all temperature ranges. The white reflective finish can contribute to energy savings of up to 35 percent by reducing heat absorption through the roof deck. Licensed roofing contractors and experienced DIYers apply this coating as part of a complete roof maintenance or restoration program. The elastomeric film resists mildew and algae growth, reducing long-term maintenance demands on coated surfaces.
This coating is suited for residential and light commercial roofing applications where ponded water conditions, extreme temperature swings, or aging surfaces require a durable, flexible barrier. Recommended substrate types include metal, concrete, foam, brick, and flat cement tile roofs. It is also specified for use over rolled roofing, built-up roofs, modified bitumen, and bonded tar and gravel systems. When applied to porous or bare substrates, use with Kool Lastik Primer is recommended to ensure proper adhesion and water sealing performance.
Recommended for use on metal, concrete, foam, brick, and flat cement tile roofs. Also suitable for ponded water conditions, rolled roofing, built-up roofs, modified bitumen, and bonded tar and gravel systems. Use with Kool Lastik Primer is recommended when applying to bare or porous substrates.
Application should be performed by a qualified roofing contractor or experienced applicator familiar with elastomeric coatings and applicable local building codes. The roof surface must be clean, dry, and free of loose debris, oils, and standing water before application. Avoid applying in temperatures outside the product-recommended range or when rain is forecast within the cure window. Follow all manufacturer application instructions for minimum dry film thickness and recoat timing to achieve the rated warranty coverage.
