The KST COATING KS0034600-20 is a heavy-duty rubberized roof primer designed to prepare troublesome roofing surfaces before the application of an elastomeric roof coating system. Sold in a 4.75-gallon container and weighing 52 pounds, this primer functions as a rubberized undercoating that improves adhesion and seals problem areas prior to topcoat application. It is formulated for use on asphaltic and bituminous substrates where standard primers may not provide adequate bonding. Roofing contractors and waterproofing professionals apply this product as part of a complete leak repair and prevention system.
This primer is suited for low-slope and flat commercial or residential roofing applications where surface conditions present bonding challenges. It is recommended for use on modified bitumen, rolled roofing, bonded tar and gravel surfaces, and built-up roof assemblies. It is also appropriate for areas with ponded or standing water, where surface contamination or degradation can compromise coating adhesion. It is intended for use within the Kool Seal Elastomeric Roof Coating System as a preparatory base coat to repair and prevent leaks.
Compatible with modified bitumen, rolled roofing, bonded tar and gravel, built-up roofs, and most asphaltic surfaces. Intended for use as a preparatory primer within the Kool Seal Elastomeric Roof Coating System.
This product is typically applied by roofing contractors or waterproofing professionals. Before application, the roof surface should be clean, dry, and free of loose debris, oils, or standing water to the extent possible. Follow applicable local building codes and manufacturer system requirements for dry times before applying topcoat layers. Use appropriate personal protective equipment when handling solvent-based or asphaltic coating products.
