The KRYLON EDE161107 is a 12 oz aerosol automotive heat resistant paint formulated for high-heat engine and underhood surfaces. It delivers a high gloss finish and withstands continuous temperatures up to 500 degrees F, making it suitable for engine blocks, valve covers, and other components that see sustained heat. The formula is resistant to oil and other automotive fluids, helping the finish hold up in demanding underhood environments. Coverage is approximately 14 square feet per can. The can features an EZ Touch conical nozzle designed for consistent, controlled spray application. Typically applied by automotive technicians, body shop professionals, or experienced DIYers performing engine bay restoration or component refinishing.
This paint is intended for automotive underhood applications where surfaces are exposed to elevated operating temperatures. Typical use cases include engine repaints, exhaust manifold touch-ups, and restoration work on cast iron or steel components. The aerosol format allows direct application without additional equipment. It is appropriate for both professional shop environments and field service situations where a durable, heat-stable finish is required on metal automotive parts.
Designed for use on metal automotive components subject to high heat, including engine blocks, valve covers, and similar underhood parts. New Ford Gray color matches factory-style finishes on applicable Ford engine components.
Application should be performed by a qualified automotive technician or experienced installer in a well-ventilated area away from open flame or ignition sources. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of grease or loose scale before spraying. Allow full dry time of 30 minutes between coats and follow manufacturer cure guidance before exposing the part to heat. Shake the can thoroughly before use and keep the nozzle clear between passes.
